SSEMWG : 2025 Awards Submission Announcement

Awards The Society for the Study of Early Modern Women and Gender seeks nominations for awards for scholarly work in English on women and gender in the early modern period (ca. 1450-1750) published/completed between June 2022 and May 2025. Items previously submitted for one of the SSEMWG awards may not be resubmitted, nor is an item eligible for consideration in more than one category. Women’s Studies Group, 1558–1837 Seminars 2025–2026

The Women’s Studies Group 1558-1837 is a small, informal, multidisciplinary group formed to promote women’s studies in the early modern period and the long eighteenth century. Established in the 1980s, the group has enabled those interested in women’s and gender studies to keep in touch, hear about one another’s research, meetings and publications, and meet regularly to discuss relevant topics.
