Assistant Professor of French – French Medieval Literature and Culture

The Department of French and Italian at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a tenure-track position in the teaching of French medieval literature and culture, starting August 26, 2013. (http://www.ohr.wisc.edu/pvl/pv_074878.html) Ph.D. required prior to start of appointment. Participation in undergraduate curricular design, and teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level will be included in the position. Additional interests in religious studies and/or connections to the Islamic world are welcome. Candidates should have native or near-native fluency in French, demonstrated scholarly promise and proven commitment to excellence in teaching.
