The Society for the Study of Early Modern Women is sponsoring one panel at the South-Central Renaissance Conference, which meets with affiliate societies Queen Elizabeth I Society, Andrew Marvell Society, and Society for Renaissance Art History.
We are looking for three to four papers that follow the general conference theme of Exploring the Renaissance. The title of our specific panel is Exploring Renaissance Women in Books and Literature.
Proposed papers should be 15-20 minutes. If you are interested, please send Valerie Schutte (veschutte@gmail.com) and Julie Eckerle (ecker014@morris.umn.edu) abstracts of 400-500 words by December 1, 2017.
Once we have chosen the members of the panel, you will have to submit your abstract, as well as a shorter 100 word abstract for inclusion in the program, on the SCRC website – http://www.scrc.us.com/ – no later than December 15, 2017. Full details can be found on the SCRC website, including the call for papers and information regarding graduate travel funding.
