The aim of this conference is to examine the ways in which an equality between the sexes is constructed, conceptualised, envisaged, imagined, dramatized, realized or dismissed in seventeenth-century France.
Papers examining the issue from a philosophical, theological, medical, literary and historical viewpoint are welcome and can be in French or in English.
