{"id":6437,"date":"2018-09-03T11:18:03","date_gmt":"2018-09-03T10:18:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/siefar.org\/?p=6437"},"modified":"2018-09-03T11:18:03","modified_gmt":"2018-09-03T10:18:03","slug":"performing-women-performing-gender","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/siefar.org\/gb\/performing-women-performing-gender\/","title":{"rendered":"Performing Women \/ Performing Gender in the Age of Shakespeare and Beyond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please consider enrolling in the seminar on women, gender and performance <strong>Melinda Gough<\/strong> is organizing for the 2019 Shakespeare Association of America (SAA) meeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The conference will take place April 17-20, 2019 in Washington DC, and seminar registration closes on September 15.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Seminar 28:\u00a0<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">Performing Women \/ Performing Gender in the Age of Shakespeare and Beyond<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What new questions are generated about gender in plays by Shakespeare and his contemporaries once we take seriously the documentary evidence now available concerning early modern women\u2019s performance history?
