Criticism<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">of the last decade has increasingly emphasised women&#8217;s engagement with<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">diverse generic forms and modes of circulation, expanding the parameters<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">of the field beyond literary interpretation of the texts themselves to a<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">new engagement with their textual histories. This strand of this<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">conference builds upon the increased visibility of form and transmission<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">in the field to focus specifically on early modern women&#8217;s engagement<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">with material textual cultures: the material objects they produced, the<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">forms in which they wrote, the ways in which they circulated their work<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">and the ways in which their texts were read by both their contemporary<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">and later audiences. Questions that might be considered include: How was<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">early modern women&#8217;s writing originally packaged and promoted, how did<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">it circulate in its contemporary contexts, and how was it read in its<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">original publication and in later revisions and redactions&#8217; How do we<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">configure publication and authorship in relation to early modern women&#8217;s<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">writing? What shifts are necessitated by recent theories within history<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">of the book scholarship that view texts as material artefact, textual<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">collage, social network, publication event and collaborative enterprise?<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">What relation do the material cultures of early modern women&#8217;s writing<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">have to the material cultures surrounding male-authored writing of the<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">period&#8217;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"corpsTexte\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><br type=\"_moz\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"corpsTexte\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Papers may be on any aspect of the material cultures of early modern<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">women&#8217;s writing, including but not limited to the following:<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"corpsTexte\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">?
