Yet in recent decades, feminist scholarship\u00a0has showed that throughout the early modern world\u00a0numerous women nonetheless discussed, developed, and challenged\u00a0politics and ethics in profound and often surprising ways.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"layout__component layout__component--editor layout__component--large\">\n<div class=\"formatted-content\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The conference\u00a0<em>Early Modern Women on Politics and Ethics<\/em>\u00a0is organized<br \/>\nby the Early Modern Seminar and the research network\u00a0Philosophy in Other Words, at the University of Gothenburg,\u00a0Sweden. It is dedicated to early modern women\u2019s engagement with politics and ethics as philosophers, authors, critics, translators,\u00a0editors, artists, patrons, salonni\u00e8res, pamphleteers, political\u00a0agents, letter writers, etcetera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Multidisciplinary in scope, the conference will bring together\u00a0scholars working in various scientific fields.
