Des dizaines de femmes ont participé à la floraison du théâtre sous l’Ancien Régime. Le premier volume de cette anthologie témoigne de leur arrivée sur ce terrain. Il présente un choix varié de pièces (farces, comédies, tragi-comédies, bergeries, pastorales, dialogues…) écrites par la reine Marguerite de Navarre, la poétesse lyonnaise Louise Labé et l’animatrice d’un célèbre salon poitevin, Catherine Des Roches. Les oeuvres de ces trois pionnières sont présentées en français moderne, annotées par des spécialistes. L’ensemble met en valeur l’étonnante richesse du théâtre du XVIe siècle, alors en pleine effervescence et mutation, et fait entendre la voix de femmes engagées dans les débats de leur temps.<\/span><\/div>\n
