Tripura was a leader until the merger with the Indian Union on November 15, 1949. The last king Bir Bikram was on the throne, just before India`s independence. But he died on May 17, 1947, in Agartala, could not see the dawn of India`s independence. The tragic death of the last king in power B.B. Bahadur Manikya was extremely unfortunate for Tripuri and in the history of tripuras. After his death, his grandson Kirri bikram Mannikya ascended to the throne of the Kingdom of Tripura, but he could not govern because he was a minor. So his widow queen, Kanchan Prabha, took over the management of Tripura and took the administrative costs. She played an important role in the merger of The Tripser Kingdom into the Indian Union. Eventually, the merger treaty was signed by it and came into force on November 15, 1949, and the Kingdom of Tripura ceased to exist and was admitted to Class C of the Indian States. 6. After the « Rajmala », or the chronicles of Tripura was continually ruled by so many 184 kings triuried with sovereign and independent status before the merger with the Indian Union in 1949, the last king was Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur Debbarma.
His successor Kirit Bikram Debbarma was a minor and still lives today as a living royal symbol of Tipra`s history. King Bir Bikram died in 1947. Then the Regency Council was created to lead the administration under the presidency of Queen Kanchanprabha Devi, the mother of Kirit Bikram. A few months after the unreasurable death of King Bir Bikram Kishore, Tipra was facing a major crisis and there was a threat from both internal and external forces. At the time of this contract, the Maharajah must acquire full ownership, exploitation and enjoyment of all private property owned by him (unlike public real estate).  The state of Tripura, with its isolated position, which nevertheless occupies a strategic position on India`s eastern border, has an ancient history and a rich culture.
